Per quattordici mesi Atticus Ross e Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) hanno lavorato senza pausa sulla colonna sonora di The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo di David Fincher. “Abbiamo riso, abbiamo pianto e siamo quasi diventati pazzi in questo periodo, ma abbiamo creato alcuni dei momenti più affascinanti e disturbanti delle nostre carriere”, dice Trent Reznor. Il risultato è un triplo CD con tre ore di musica inedita.
La colonna sonora è composta da un totale di 39 tracce che includono una cover di Immigrant Song dei Led Zeppelin che vede protagonista l’irresistibile frontwoman degli Yeah Yeah Yeahs Karen O.
Questa colonna sonora rinnova il sodalizio artistico fra Reznor, Ross e Fincher: la prima occasione di collaborazione fu per The Social Network e ricevette un premio Oscar.
